Mission Statement

The Purpose of the Wat Phawanadhammaram Contemplation Center is to maintain a temple and establish a Buddhist community.  Building on our profound legacy as a spiritual center, we strive to awaken within all the compassion and wisdom of the Buddha Dharma.   


The Wat Phawanadhammaram Contemplation Center endeavors to share the teaching of the Buddha to all those who seek the knowledge and the truth of the Buddha Dharma, to promote our community, and to provide the general welfare and service to guide the activities which strengthen our faith in the Buddha and advance our learning in the Dharma.

The Phawanadhammaram Contemplation Center is a religious corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida effective April 1, 2014 and is exempt from Florida sales and use tax in accordance with Florida State Laws.   Florida Certificate # 85-8016864300C-1.


Additionally, the Phawanadhammaram Contemplation Center is recognized by the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) as a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) exempt religious organization with an effective date of April 1, 2014.

Legal Status

The  Wat Phawanadhammaram Contemplation Center welcomes all those who wish to learn about the boundless wisdom and compassion that is Amida Buddha without regard to race, religion, sex, national origin, color, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.

Board Members

The religious leader for the Wat Phawanadhammaram Contemplation Center is Buddhist Monk Phra Charoen Chantsathon. 

He was ordained July 5, 1996 at Wat Yansangwararam in Chonburi, Thailand.

He has served faithfully as a Buddhist Monk in the USA since July 2006.
